Story Overview:

 

After the failed assassination attempt, Jace was captured by King Remora on suspecison of being the assassin. Remora’s right hand man Chancellor Piranhor wants Jace to be killed, but Jace brings up the fact that Space Ghost may not be dead. Of course, Space Ghost isn’t dead. He is on his way to Glasstor to confront the emperor about firing the weapon at Liquo.

After battling with Glasstor he must save the planet from the return attack from Liquo. After the attacks the entire galaxy is on edge and it’s up to Jan to find out who is responsible to bring the war to an end.

The mini event ends in this issue and it’s a glorious ending. David Pepose does an awesome job as always of bringing the world of Space Ghost to life. The drama Pepose brings to the world really brings the reader in and leaves them on the edge of their seat. The different layers of the story and how they unravel are a masterclass of emotional writing. The action that is in this book is also top tier and very entertaining. Not to mention the little added piece about the mastermind Tempus, sets up where the series is ultimately going.

This issue's artwork is exceptional and matches the high standards present across the whole series. Jonathan Lau consistently produces outstanding results, reflecting his extensive expertise and strong standing within the industry. Andrew Dalhouse masterfully matches colors with the art, while Taylor Esposito brings real emotion to the lettering. This accomplished art team continues to demonstrate excellence, delivering outstanding issue after outstanding issue.

 

Final Thoughts

Space Ghost Vol. 2 #5 adds another strong chapter to an already impressive series. The comic stands out because of its talented creative team, making it among the top titles available right now.
