*** POTENTIAL SPOILER WARNING ***

This issue dives deep into the mystery of where Zordon is after his disappearance/ “death” at the hands of Zartus. Billy, the Blue Ranger has tracked down his consciousness in hopes to bringing him back to fight the threat, but it’s not going as easy as planned. Luckily, Billy had some help in his endeavors. Meanwhile, the rest of the Rangers are trying to figure out their next moves with Zartus’s team moving in on them.

Readers also get a Segway between some Rangers & Lord Zedd’s forces. “The Enemy of My Enemy is My Friend” has never been so clear between these two factions. However. nothing will prepare for the final page of the book & a moment MMPR fans won’t forget anytime soon.

Parrott hits another home run with this issue. Breaking down Zordon & diving into his past is always a fun trip for readers. Seeing the back & forth between him and Billy was a very strong part of this book. It really drove home an emotional kick for readers. There was also great banter between the Rangers & Zedd’s troops. Goldar’s comments were very funny & gave a nice break to the seriousness of the story. Plus the build for the last page was classic. It definitely had a “Lets GO” moment to close the book out on.

Renna did another solid job with the art duties on this issue as well. The sequence where Billy is going thru with the Blue Emissary to track Zordon was visually impressive. Balancing out the multiple area of the story was not easy, but Renna & co. really make this event feel like a major game-changer for these heroes. That final page delivers a big exclamation point to this chapter!
