It is a rare sight to see but Guy Gardner nerding out is a vibe. When he and Sojourner Mullein find the Book of Oa, Adams shows off a more light-hearted moment. It gives way to the drama of the discovery. The story shifts towards Jordan on a case in Coast City. There are many fan favorite moments here before the story swings into a new direction.
Once back on Oa, the reveal takes center stage. Readers watch as Jordan discovers his name with dire results. The writing starts cementing the secrets’ importance. Watching the Guardians converse slowly pulls layers back into this odd circumstance. Jordan’s recovery isn’t flawless. There are elements added to grow from. This portion moves into a more relaxed closing point. One moment indicates everything’s not alright. The final page anchors that thought moving to next chapter.
Marion & Fajardo Jr. unveil the nerdy side of Guy Gardner with key panels. His reactions are priceless as he starts translating the book. The full page shot of Jordan’s name puts more weight onto the importance of this page. Once events come back to Earth, Jordan’s apprehending of a criminal carries a fun sense with it. After these pages, the mood switches into a more darker tone.
This does come after the new “space trio” of Kyle Rayner, Odyssey and Conner Kent. The full page panel of Rayner unleashing his powers will have readers locked in. It doesn’t take long for Jordan to be brought in drama. The half page image of him reading his name switches gears. Sharpe’s lettering assists in this matter. The panels start taking hold of the secrets in play. Krona’s half panel throws everything off course heading to close. There’s some solid moments with Star Sapphire before Jordan’s danger finds him. The full page image of his attacked mind sends shockwaves. It wraps up quickly into the final page. Sapphire’s reaction says it all as a new threat has arrived.

The power of two words might doom the Green Lantern Corps as a new adventure begins. Adams presents a tale with humor and questions. Marion and the art team flourish in taking Jordan through his emotional range. Where things go from here are anyone’s guess.
