The good thing is my symptoms are extremely mild & we should be back on track next week. However for this week, I’m gonna blog it up since there’s a lot to go over.. MOON KNIGHT TRAILER *** SPOILER TALK ***
Marvel Studios finally dropped the long awaited Moon Knight trailer on the MCU faithful Monday night. The saga of Marc Spector (played by Oscar Issac) has been one of the most highly anticipated shows in recent memory. In case you’re not familiar with Moon Knight, he is an avatar for Khonshu, the Egyptian Moon God & also has dissociative identity disorder. How this character would translate to the more family friendly Disney Plus streaming service is a big question fans had. Well, we got our first glimpse & possible answers to those questions.
The trailer is setting up that Issac’s character is having sleep issues which unfold into bigger issues. He’s referred to as “Steven”, a knod to an alias known as Stephan Grant early on. From there, viewers see him running away from what we can assume to be Khonshu in an elevator to now seeing him in a museum with Egyptian artifacts. From here, “Steven” finds a cell phone & someone is overjoyed to find “Marc”, to which he has no recollection. From there, we see Ethan Hawke playing what appears to be a cult-like leader, foreshadowing what’s to come in the show. There are many rumors flying around about who he is playing, so I’ll leave that for another time. The trailer closes with more flashback sequences to closing with Issac in full Moon Knight costume, after beating someone very violently.
Overall reaction: The trailer was a good introduction for new fans of the character. It gave enough visuals to be excited about the show. The costume looked great too. Longtime readers might not be sold on this yet. Moon Knight has a very passionate fanbase & anything less than perfect isn’t gonna fly. One big thing that kept throwing me off was Issac had a weird accent when speaking. Hawke’s character was a bit confusing but this trailer didn’t give away too much in reference. For the next phase of MCU Disney Plus shows, this one will have a pretty high bar to hit. We’ll find out if it does on March 30th.
BOOK OF BOBA FETT EPISODE 4 *** SPOILER TALK ***
This week’s episode really had some great moments with Temuera Morrison’s Boba Fett & Ming-Na Wen’s Fennec Shand in showing why they’re so committed in working together. The episode is basically a flashback to Boba trying to reclaim his ship, Slave 1. He saves Shand’s life from being wounded in the Mandalorian series. Shand’s way of returning the favor is helping Fett get the ship back. There was definitely a Hawkeye/Black Widow vibe to this seqeunce. After escaping with the ship, Fett and Shand avenge the people who saved Fett by taking out the gang that killed them in a previous episode. However, in a confusing scene to me, they go back to the Sarlacc Pit & try finding Boba’s armor inside the creature. Since he escaped the creature way back when with armor on, why would he think it’s back inside it?
This sequence felt more like filler to me. The pair escape after their oversized ship gets caught in the trenches of the creature. The episode now fast forwards to present time. Boba is now making moves for an eventual war with the Pyke Syndicate for control of Jabba The Hut’s turf. Fett recruits a big ally in Krrsantan to help him, while the other crime bosses are told: if you’re not with me, stay out of this.
Overall, it was a good episode but not really sure why we needed that much time spent back at the Sarlacc Pit. Showcasing the bond between Shand & Fett made this episode. Viewers can fully get why she remains as loyal as she does. With 2 episodes left, hopefully the flashback are done and we all get the big throwdown we’re expecting from this show. Book Of Boba Fett airs on Disney Plus (new eps. Wednesdays).
Superman And Lois “The Ties that Bind” *** SPOILER TALK ***
Season 2 of the CW’s best show has returned on a very strong note. Clark Kent aka Superman (played by Tyler Hoechlin) is dealing the arguement of “Truth, Justice & the American Way” vs. “Truth, Justice & a Better Tomorrow”. Smallville has Smallville drama & the rest of the Kents have their own problems going on. What drove this episode is Supes is having mental attacks that appear to be tying into earthquakes happening. having been defeated by a metahuman & being bailed out by the US Government “Super Squad”, Superman has to get to the bottom of this mystery. In a desperate move to solve them, he enlisted the help of his half-brother Tal-Rho (played by Adam Rayner). Rho lies about being powerless but is talked down from continuing his plans by a hologram of his mother. Rho returns to his cell & Superman has a new problem on his hands. Meanwhile, the cause of the quakes makes another big move and Superman fans…get ready……that reveal is coming sooner than later!
Overall, another solid episode. The Smallville drama stories are just getting started but how they are going to go big picture is anyone’s guess at this stage. Superman struggling to handle his psionic attacks is the big takeaway from here. To work with Tal-Rho speaks volumes of how much help he needs. The resolution seemed quick but I think we’ll see Rho pop up more when the big bad of this season makes his full on-screen debut. The producers have done a great job concealing a lot right now, but it’s very clear who is coming and Superman is not ready for him just yet.

New Batman movie is slated around 3 hrs - No issues here. The movie feels like an epic already
Peacemaker ep. 1-3 (NON Spoiler) HBO MAX - John Cena & co. are crafting a way more complex story than anyone thought when they announced this series. Peacemaker has never been made to feel relevant let alone sympathetic. It works. Freddie Stroma as Vigilante has been a surprise hit as well. James Gunn’s fingerprints are all over this and fans of The Suicide Squad will be very happy.
Naomi (CW Network) continues to impress with episode 2. Things are picking up quick.
